One of the best things you can do for yourself is sleep. Far too often, moms neglect sleep in the pursuit of doing more with their time. You live off of caffeine to make it through the day and wonder how you will manage to get anything done. Take more time to sleep so your body is at its healthiest and is strong enough to face the day’s challenges upon wakening.

Take some time to get away and go out with friends. Maintaining outside relationships is important to a healthy family life. Without time with outside friends you can begin to feel trapped and alone, even while surrounded by family. Friendships can feed emotional needs that have gone unmet, helping you to regroup and pour into your family joyfully again.

Hobbies and Physical Movement Feed the Soul

Find a hobby that you enjoy. Anything from gardening to writing to dirt-biking can become an outlet that gives your mind and body a break from the stress and concerns of life. Taking time to do something you enjoy fills you up and renews your mind, preparing you to face a new day with anticipation and excitement.

Find a sport or activity you love and get active. Physical exercise is necessary for the mind and body. Exercise releases endorphins that make you feel good and help you cope with stress. Choose something fun and challenging so you will keep going back for more.

Feeling Pretty and Supporting Wellness

Make yourself feel beautiful by taking time to do something just for you, such as painting your nails, getting your hair done, taking a long spa bath, or buying a new outfit. These are all great ways to get rejuvenated, refreshed, and gain a boost in confidence.

Support your health and wellness by eliminating as many toxic chemicals in your life as possible. Choose alternatives for:

  • cleaning and hygiene care
  • skincare
  • perfumes and rooms sprays
  • the supplements you take each day
